Support for International Students Navigating Life Abroad
Counseling and Coaching for International Teens and College Students
You're Not the Only One Feeling This.
You may be adjusting to a new country, a new school, or a new version of yourself. On the outside, things may look fine. On the inside, it feels heavier and more confusing than you expected.
Many of my clients are high-achieving students who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves during major transitions. They are used to succeeding, but recently they have started questioning their confidence, their direction, or even where they belong. Some also find themselves quietly realizing that what they were told college would feel like does not match their experience.
I’m Kelly, a mental health counselor, educator, and college transition coach with over a decade of experience supporting international teens and young adults through academic, personal, and cultural transitions. I have lived and worked in Singapore, Colombia, and the United States, and I understand the emotional complexity of navigating identity and pressure across different environments. As a former collegiate athlete, I also understand the intensity of performance-driven environments and the toll they can take on mental well-being.
In our work together, I offer a supportive and structured space where you can make sense of what you are experiencing and begin to feel more grounded again. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solution-focused strategies to help you build practical tools for managing anxiety, improving confidence, and reconnecting with your strengths.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or disconnected during this transition, you do not have to navigate it alone.

HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER
My Approach
At the core of my practice is deep compassion and genuine respect for every client’s unique story—but that doesn’t mean our sessions are always serious or heavy. I believe in creating a space where it’s safe to be honest, curious, and even to laugh a little. My style is warm, practical, and collaborative. Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I adapt our work to fit your goals and pace. I’ll meet you where you are, without judgment, and walk alongside you as we work toward clarity, confidence, and meaningful change. You don’t have to have it all figured out—we’ll figure it out together.
